Getting a website has become a bad deal for a small business. Either it costs thousands upfront, or it's cheap and slow and nobody wants to touch it afterwards. We started The Boring Web Co so you could have a fast, good-looking site for a flat monthly fee, and then get on with running your business. It also gets you from “sorry about the website” to “have a look at the website”.
We're a family with two kids in Gulf Harbour on the Hibiscus Coast, working from home on a stretch of coast with more native birds than traffic. Emma builds every site here herself, start to finish; nothing goes out to a contractor.
How we work is the boring part. You tell us about your business, we build the site in two to four weeks, and it has to score 90 or better on Google's speed test before it goes live. From $200 a month plus GST, with no build fee. It's for cafés, tradies, physios, accountants: any small Kiwi business, anywhere in the country.
